Co-operative Championship 1 Play-Offs
Barrow and Keighley book their Championships Finals Day spots
Barrow Raiders have followed up their success in topping the Co-operative Championship and reaching the Northern Rail Cup Final by becoming the first side to book their place in the Championship Grand Final which will be played at The Halliwell Jones stadium on Sunday October 4. In the Grand Final Barrow will play either Halifax, who they beat 35-12 on Thursday to reach Warrington, or Featherstone Rovers who stunned Widnes Vikings on Friday night running out 32-24 winners at The Stobart Stadium. In the Co-operative Championship 1 Keighley Cougars are the first side through to the Finals Day after a 32-18 victory over York City Knights in the first Qualifying Semi Final. York will have a second chance though to reach the Finals Day next weekend when they play Oldham who progressed to the second Qualifying Semi Final after beating Hunslet Hawks 54-30.
